Stargazing Tour in Hurghada — Full Itinerary

1. 20–40 min

   Hotel pick-up in Hurghada

   Your stargazing tour begins with pick-up from your hotel around 3:00 PM (exact time confirmed after booking, and it shifts with the season so you reach the desert camp before dark).

2. 45 min

   Jeep safari into the Hurghada desert

   A 4×4 jeep safari takes you 26 km into the Hurghada desert, over sand flats and between the mountains. Every kilometre takes you further from the coast and from every source of city light — which is the whole point of a desert night tour.

3. 20 min

   Sunset over the Red Sea mountains

   A stop at a viewpoint as the sun drops behind the mountains. The desert turns orange, then red, then dark — and the first stars appear while you're still standing there.

4. 30 min

   Bedouin village

   Arrive at a traditional Bedouin village for a welcome drink and Bedouin tea, and time to hear how the desert communities live out here — and how they've read this same night sky for generations.

   Candle-lit BBQ dinner in the desert

   A Bedouin-style BBQ buffet served by candlelight in the open air. There are deliberately no floodlights at the camp, so your eyes adjust to the dark over dinner and the sky is already open by the time you finish.

   Stargazing with an astronomy guide

   This is what the whole stargazing safari is built around. An astronomy guide sets up the telescope and walks you through what you're looking at: the Milky Way stretched right across the sky, individual planets, and the constellations the Bedouin have navigated by for centuries. With no city light for 26 km, this is a night sky most visitors to Hurghada never get to see from the hotel strip.

   Back to your hotel

   Your jeep brings you back across the desert to Hurghada, arriving at your hotel around 8:00 PM.
